As we all know, we are in the dry season of Florida. We enjoy the beautiful blue sky, sunny days, but our environment doesn't. Being in the midst of dry season the counties do have water restrictions. In Collier County irrigation is limited to three days a week. ODD numbered addresses can irrigate on Monday,Wednesday, and Saturday. Irrigation is PROHIBITED between 10AM and 4PM. For EVEN numbered addresses irrigation can be used Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. The same rule applies, no watering between 10AM and 4PM. Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday includes even AND odd addresses that are on the same irrigation zone examples would be; HOA, multi-family homes, and common areas with no addresses.Any plant material may be watered using low volume irrigation, micro-irrigation, rain barrels, cisterns, or other similar rain harvesting devices without regard to the watering days and times allowed. Landscape Irrigation – New (in place less than 30 days) ALL Addresses – May be irrigated every day except Friday and not between the hours of 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM; low volume hand watering allowed anytime. Irrigation is limited to targeted areas containing 50% or less new landscaping only. If new plantings consist of more than 50% of the area you may irrigate using zone irrigation for the new plantings in that zone. Watering outside of those times are prohibited. Even numbered addresses can irrigate Thursdays and Sundays from midnight to 9am or 5pm to midnight. Irrigating Mondays, Tuesdays, and Friday is prohibited.Watering exceptions for Lee CountyDay of InstallSoil irrigation is allowed immediately prior to planting. New plantings and soil may be irrigated once with out regard to watering days. 31-60 Days IRRIGATION IS LIMITED TO AREAS CONTAINING NEW LANDSCAPING ONLY. AN ENTIRE IRRIGATION ZONE MAY BE WATERED ONLY IF NEW LANDSCAPING IS PLANTED ON AT LEAST 50 PERCENT OF THAT ZONE. IF LESS THAN 50 PERCENT, ONLY THE NEW PLANTINGS MAY BE WATERED.
